A Church is a great place to maintain organization, create a support sytem for all it's members which is important in our lives, the teachings proved members revalations, standards, and guidelines that that Christ would have us live by as Heaven awaits us all who belives.
The sign of the cross is used throughout Christian liturgies, in moments of need or danger, at the beggining and end of prayer, and on numerous other occasions.
God of the covenant,
in the glory of the cross
your Son embraced the power of death
and broke its hold over your people.
In this time of repentance,
draw all people to yourself,
that we who confess Jesus as Lord
may put aside the deeds of death
and accept the life of your kingdom. Amen.
